Some areas in the city of Kathmandu, Nepal, were devastated after the 2015 Gorkha earthquake, and this image captures some of the damage not too far from the Royal Palace. The Ratu River Expedition shows some of the latest techniques and technologies that Earth scientists use today to collect data on the field and better understand the behavior of earthquakes.
